Task Scheduler on Windows Server 2008 R2 Cluster

Hi,

Well like i said put the files on a cluster disk and configure on all your nodes the same taskscheduler running the same job or one on node 1 runs file1 and on two two etc.

so what ever node holds the disk the job will run else there is a failure. and with some extra check in the script if the disk is there else do not run the job.

or create a job in SCOM 2012 or use orchestrator to do this.

Tasks folder location can be changed by editing following registry key you have to do this on all the cluster nodes and point them to the same disk !

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ SchedulingAgent \ TasksFolder

Default value of the TasksFolder key is %SystemRoot%\Tasks ; you can replace that with Z:\Tasks (or any drive letter of your choice)

Once you edit the registry, make sure to restart the Task scheduler service using following command

NET STOP SCHEDULE & NET START SCHEDULE
